John C. Bradley Jr.
"Reading has shaped my life more than anything else."
An avid reader, John Bradley's first job was working at a library while in high school. Among his favorite authors are Fitzgerald, Faulkner, Hemingway and Updike—writers who keep him coming back to their books again and again.
Despite his life-long love of reading, John claims he had a mid-life reading crisis at 40 when he realized he'd never read classics like Austin and Bronte. To solve this issue he spent hours listening to books on tape.
Not surprisingly, John is the President of Friends of Richland County Public Library—work he lovingly calls his full-time, non-paying job.
