“The secret of joy in work is contained in one word – excellence. To know how to do something well is to enjoy it.”
—Pearl S. Buck
Energy. Focus. Balance.
Those are a few of the principles of yoga, and as an avid practitioner of the ancient discipline, Tina Cundari strives to apply those in her life.
Tina, who was born in Chicago and grew up in South Carolina's Lowcountry, has never been short on energy. While earning a bachelor's degree at the College of Charleston, she held a series of jobs. The first, a file clerk and then a paralegal at a large plaintiff’s law firm, shaped her career. The second, a hostess at a fine dining restaurant, shaped her passion for good food and wine.
She followed that passion to New Mexico, where she divided her time working at a winery and writing for a food magazine. That experience influenced the life she lives today. One of the things she loves most about the practice of law is the writing, and in her free time she enjoys reading about food and wine and cooking good meals for family and friends.
Tina maintains balance in her life by staying active in the community. When she’s not practicing yoga at City Yoga, Tina dedicates her time to serving on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Columbia, a youth mentoring organization, and as the president of the Shandon Neighborhood Council, which serves one of Columbia’s largest neighborhoods.
