Columbia boutique litigation law firm Sowell Gray is celebrating its 10-year anniversary. Started in 1996 as Sowell, Todd, Laffitte, Beard & Watson, the firm was joined in 2000 by the firm of Glenn, Gray & Stepp to become Sowell Gray Stepp & Laffitte, LLC. In addition to the many companies and organizations represented successfully by Sowell Gray, the firm recently represented the state of South Carolina in the school funding trial of Abbeville County v. South Carolina, receiving nationwide press coverage. Firm members include a Past President of the SC Bar, two Past Presidents of the Young Lawyers Division of the SC Bar, judicial law clerks, authors, and members of The Best Lawyers in America (Woodward/White, Inc.) and America’s Leading Business Lawyers (Chambers USA).
