Sowell Gray is pleased to announce that Robert E. Tyson, Jr. was selected to teach a seminar entitled “Legal Issues Involving South Carolina Local Governments” November 6 and 7, 2003. This Continuing Legal Education seminar, accredited by the South Carolina Commission on Continuing Lawyer Competency, gave an in-depth look at the legal issues facing municipalities today, from public rights issues to employment relations. Rob taught the seminars on ethical dilemmas facing municipal lawyers, sources of conflict between county and municipal lawyers, annexation, business licenses and franchise issues, and municipal services beyond the corporate limits. Attended by city and municipal attorneys as well as civic leaders, the seminar was taught in both Columbia and Charleston.
